At the age of 3 Samantha started dancing with Lynn Bishop, owner of The Dance Company, where
she continued her dance career until the age of 21. During those years she completed Dance as a
subject in high school, through UCT as well as her beginner Dance teacher qualifications with DESA
(Dance Educators South Africa).
She participated in many dance shows within the studio at theatres such as The Roxy Revue Bar in
Grand West and the Milnerton playhouse, and achieved excellent awards for her dance
examinations and performances. She has a trained background in Modern, Jazz, Contemporary, Hip
Hop and Tap. Her passion has always been performing and teaching dance.
In 2010 she decided to open her doors to Dance Lab in Table View to help children, teenagers, and
adults realise their ability to dance. She received her Western Province colours as a Hip Hop coach at
the SASAFF (South African Fitness Sports Aerobics Federation) in 2013 when two of Dance Lab teams
qualified to represent Western Province on a National level in Kimberley. She is currently undergoing
her DESA examiners qualifications.
Over the years Dance Lab has grown from strength to strength. Dance Lab has had many
achievements at various competitions and always puts on wonderful productions giving the students
the opportunity to have stage experience.
Teaching is what she does best. Imparting as much knowledge to her students is her passion. Seeing
her students grow from strength to strength is was drives her (passion).
